Hometown Health Insurance Network Changes: What You Need to Know

Dear Patients and Families,

We want to share an important insurance network update that may affect some of our families.

We were recently notified that Hometown Health has decided to remove Pinecone Pediatrics from its HMO network, effective August 29, 2026.

At this time, we have not been provided with a clear explanation for this decision. We are actively communicating with Hometown Health to understand why this change was made and to explore whether it can be resolved.

What You Need to Know

  • Hometown Health HMO Plans: This change only applies to HMO coverage. If your family is enrolled in a Hometown Health HMO plan, we encourage you to review your benefits and contact Hometown Health directly to understand how your coverage may change after August 29.

  • Hometown Health PPO & EPO Plans: We remain fully contracted with these plans. Patients with PPO or EPO coverage can continue receiving care at Pinecone Pediatrics without any interruption.

We understand that insurance changes like this can be frustrating and stressful—especially when it involves your child’s healthcare team.

Please know that our team is actively advocating for our patients, and we are committed to keeping you updated as soon as we learn more. We sincerely appreciate the trust you place in us and remain dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your family.
