Phone Calls

Office hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm with lunch 12-1pm, Monday through Friday. Our phone lines are closed during lunch from 12-1:30 pm. We want you to call!  There is no benefit in sitting at home worrying, so please call if you have any questions or concerns.  It is preferred that you call early in the morning to give us time to return your call.  Please keep your phone lines open so we can contact you instead of playing phone tag, and if we haven’t returned your call in a timely manner, please call us back!

Appointments

We know that your relationship with your doctor is very important.  The majority of all your well and sick visits will be seen by your regular physician.  There may be times when your child has a more urgent need to be seen, and all of our practitioners will be happy to assist you.

Initial physical examinations are often lengthy visits, because we need time to get to know each other. It is helpful to have all medical and immunization records sent to us PRIOR to the visit so these can be reviewed beforehand.

Well Child Visits (Check-ups)

The newborn visit should be scheduled at a few days to 2 weeks of age (your physician will discuss this with you). Subsequent well visits will occur at  2,4 and 6, months, 9, 12, 18, and 24 months, and then annually starting at age 3 years. These visits provide an assessment of all aspects of your child’s health, growth, development and behavior, and give you the opportunity to ask questions you have. Your pediatrician will discuss what to expect over the next phase of your child’s life. Immunizations, if needed, are given at the end of the well child visit.

Vaccine policy

One of the best ways to keep your children healthy is to make sure they are up to date on their vaccines. At our practice, we do not accept patients who do not receive their recommended vaccines (unless there is a medical contraindication diagnosed by one of our physicians.) This is for the safety of your children, and the safety of our other patients, their families, and our staff.

Cancellations / No Show Policy

To meet the needs of our patients and to assure we have adequate openings for children needing appointments, our office requires 48-hours advance notice to cancel a scheduled appointment. No shows and short notice cancellations are subject to a $50.00 fee per missed appointment which includes same day scheduled appointments that are cancelled. Patients who arrive later than 10 minutes from their scheduled appointment time will be considered a no show and will be cancelled.

New Patient Establishing Care

Our practice is currently only accepting newborns to first time parents who have completed an in office pre-natal consult with one of our providers.  If you would like to schedule a pre-natal consultation with our practice, please call and speak with our scheduling department well in advance of your due date as appointments are limited.  We will be unable to establish your newborn as a patient of our practice without having completed a consultation.

Walk-In Appointments

As we schedule all same day sick appointments, we do not have walk-in appointments available.  If your child is sick, please call us, and we will schedule your child as soon as we can.  This will ensure much better waiting times for all of our patients.

Referral Forms/Prescription Refills

Please allow sufficient time for these requests. Referrals must be registered with your Insurance carrier and can take several days for us to get approval for you.

We ask at least 24 hours notice for prescription refills so that we can review your child’s chart and assure we are offering the best care for any ongoing problem.

School, daycare, camp and similar forms take time to review, and to provide all requested information. We routinely complete these forms in two weeks.
